Lars :: Fixing an Owie

I feel like crap right now - my head is congested and I'm tired all the time. Sadly, Lars is still full of energy and doesn't understand that I am not. Yesterday I told him I had an owie and I couldn't play with him. So he ran into my bathroom - unwrapped two bandaids - and came and stuck them on my arms. Then he insisted I play. He had fixed me.

Baby Girl :: Week 35

She's crazy. Baby Girl moves full time, kicks constantly, and gets the hiccups quite often (but not as often as Lars did). Her latest is kicking out on my right side so hard that you can physically tell that it's her foot coming out of my stomach. She does it especially right after I eat.

Lars :: Spider Waffles

Anytime the batter goes into the waffle maker, Lars does the sign for the Itsy Bitsy Spider. He thinks the batter looks like spiders.

Lars :: Mr. Observant

Yesterday Adam got a haircut. I didn't say anything when he got home because we'd already talked about it on the phone, and quite frankly they always look the same. But when Adam was changing his clothes Lars asked him if he'd gotten a haircut by pulling on his own hair and pointing to Adam's.

Lars :: Pearl

The other day we were getting ready to leave the house to get the Moses basket for baby girl and we were talking about "our sister." I asked Lars about names, and if he liked the name Pearl. He said no. Then I asked if he liked Pearl (vs. the name, it's different for a 2 year old) and he said yes and pointed to the picture of Grammy Pearl and I on the shelf. I have never told him (that I remember) that the picture was of my Grammy Pearl. And then he said "Gigi" and nodded. I was totally taken aback that he knew that was my Gigi and that her name was Pearl. I thought maybe my mom had been giving him hints towards the name and who Pearl was, but she denies it. Spooky.
