Lars is cultured
Yesterday at preschool they were studying states and it was New York state day. Lars saw the Statue of Liberty and said "I've seen that!" Miss Lauren said "Have you really?" And Lars replied, "Yes, at Red Robin."
Pearl
- Calls me "that"
- Can walk if she wanted too, but doesn't
- If she's distracted and standing up, she has taken up to 4 steps
- says "Hi", "Bye", "Dada", "That/ dat", "Das (Lars)", "Dis (This)", "Ah duh (All Done)"
- knows sign language for eat, more, all done, poop, milk,
- Does not enjoy being told no. If you do she cries then goes right back to what she was doing.

Pearl stood up!
Today - all by herself - Pearl went from sitting on the floor to standing all by herself. She was shocked and didn't know what to do next. She sat down.

Pearl the eater
Pearl loves to eat! Lars did too at this age, but Pearl thrills me with the variety and the spice that she loves to eat. She likes Scotch Eggs, but only with Heinz 57 on top. She loves anything spicy or seasoned. She'll eat anything I am eating - as long as I eat it first.
She won't eat anything off of a spoon. Including applesauce, which she will eat from the 'squeeze tube.' Or yogurt, which she loves from the Go-Gurt tube.

Lars is done with diapers!
He doesn't even need them to sleep anymore! He still wears a pull up "just in case" but he doesn't need it - or really want it.
Lars' creativity
:: Funny things Lars says ::
- "God made it that way" :: I use it to end conversations that I can't otherwise end. Now he uses it for explaining the TV schedule, or almost anything else
- "Will you come sit with I?"
- "I want to go with yourself"
